About Canada On Demand and
Staycations & Getaways Canada Magazine

Canada On Demand is a new digital platform designed to support and promote the Canadian tourism industry in times of global uncertainty. Launched in response to growing trade tensions and travel disruptions—including pandemic-era border closures, international airline instability, and shifting geopolitical alliances—the platform offers Canadians a reliable, homegrown alternative for travel inspiration and bookings.

Its purpose is to create a centralized, Canada-first space where travelers can explore local destinations, discover hidden gems, and connect directly with Canadian-owned tour operators, accommodations, and experience providers. From cross-country rail adventures to Indigenous cultural tours and eco-lodges in remote corners of the Yukon, Canada On Demand highlights the full spectrum of what this diverse nation has to offer.

More than just a travel site, Canada On Demand acts as an economic resilience tool. By encouraging domestic and intra-provincial tourism, it strengthens local economies and helps businesses that are often sidelined during international trade disputes or global crises. With intuitive planning tools, curated travel guides, and ethical sourcing standards, the platform empowers Canadians to support their own industry—while exploring the beauty of their own backyard.

In addition to the Canada On Demand platform, we’ve launched Staycations & Getaways Canada Magazine, a digital publication dedicated to celebrating Canadian staycations and regional travel experiences. Born out of the same mission—to support Canada’s tourism sector amid global travel disruptions—Staycations & Getaways Canada Magazine offers an inspiring, story-driven alternative to traditional travel magazines.

Each issue flips the script on what it means to “get away,” spotlighting local escapes, cultural treasures, and eco-friendly adventures from coast to coast. Whether it’s a weekend in the Laurentians, slow travel on Vancouver Island, or urban retreats in Winnipeg and Halifax, Staycations & Getaways Canada Magazine captures the magic of Canadian travel—without crossing borders.

More than a magazine, Staycations & Getaways Canada Magazine is a movement to reconnect Canadians with the richness of our country, especially in times when global travel becomes unpredictable. It aligns with our commitment to resilience, sustainability, and community-based tourism. By featuring stories told by real Canadians for Canadians, Staycations & Getawasys helps foster pride in local experiences and reminds readers that unforgettable adventures often begin just a few hours from home.
